Racing Nation SA ("RNSA", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we handle and why, in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

1. Who is responsible

2. What information we collect

• Messages you send us on WhatsApp (for example when you enter your car or place a merch order): your name, phone number and the details you choose to share.
• Your cart: saved only on your own device so it is still there when you come back. We do not receive it until you press checkout and send the WhatsApp message.
• Basic technical data that our website hosts may log automatically (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site secure and working.

We do not run analytics, advertising trackers or marketing cookies on this website. We do not sell your information.

3. Why we use it

• To answer your questions and register cars for events.
• To process, arrange payment for and deliver merch orders.
• To keep the website safe and working.

4. Who we share it with

We only share information with service providers needed to run the site and take orders: our website host (Cloudflare), our database provider (Supabase) and WhatsApp (Meta). They have their own privacy policies. We may also share information if the law requires it.

5. How we protect it

The website uses HTTPS (encrypted connections). Only one authorised administrator can change website content.

6. How long we keep it

We keep order and event messages only as long as needed to deal with them, or as the law requires. Ask us and we will delete your information.

7. Your rights

You may ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email us at Racingnationsa@gmail.com. If you are unhappy, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa: inforegulator.org.za.
